| Our graduates |
 |
At the end of 2009 several graduates of our high school came to see us. Some of them were asked to evaluate the school from the perspective of having been away for a couple of months. The question was asked: From among the things they learned here, what have they been able to use in their further studies and in their personal development. Here are their answers.

Lenka Birová Pedagogy Faculty, Comenius University, Bratislava, History, English
How I view my high school from a distance of time: “For me the most visible contribution of CS Lewis is my English. Without boasting too much, it is obvious in our lessons now that my English is on a higher level than that of almost all my colleagues (and I was not a star while at CSL...) But what I consider even more important is the endeavor of our school to make us think, form our own opinion and be able to defend it – not only at the academic level but also in non-formal teaching, for example at the teambuilding events.”
Jakub Dianiška Faculty of Politics and International Studies, School of Oriental and Africa Studies, London, Politics and Economics
How I view my high school from a distance of time: “One of the most significant things that CSL gave to me was a faculty for critical thinking. It was not a simple input of information; we were taught to doubt, analyze and ask questions.” Ondrej Jaura Mathematics and Physics Faculty, Comenius University Bratislava, Physics
How I view my high school from a distance of time: “I had the feeling that in the beginning CSL high school was stronger in humanities, and it took me a while to become orientated in the subject of physics. In the area of communication and also in the spiritual area I received much at this school; among other things, a broader perspective and good knowledge.” Noemi Krišková Middlesex University, London, Psychology
How I view my high school from a distance of time: “Several practical skills I am using, both at school and at work, are: English, essay writing, creativity, and being on time... But for me personally there are two things I learned at my school which are the most precious. First, don’t be scared by challenges. Second, responsibility for my decisions and deeds. I don’t know how you did it, but thank you.” Michal Laco School of Management, University of St. Andrews, Scotland, UK, Management
How I view my high school from a distance of time: “CSL high school provided me with a precious surrounding in which I could discover that new options are good challenges, not obstacles.” Debora Pastirčáková Academy of Performing Arts, Bratislava, Film Directing
How I view my high school from a distance of time: “I think I have learned discipline in doing things, because we had to submit our work and reports continuously and on time. And I was made to think in a way that was not natural for me. To develop very practical and even dull analytical thinking is a good contrast and a good preparation for what I want to do now – film.”
Michal Staňák Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies, King’s College, London, Religion, Philosophy and Ethics
How I view my high school from a distance of time: “CS Lewis kicked me off in the right way. I think it gave all of us enough space to develop our potential, and the attitude ‘you can do it’. Personally, I was encouraged by the friendly, family atmosphere of the school.” Nikoleta Wagnerová Philologisch-Kulturwissenschaftliche Fakultät, Universität Wien, English and American Studies
How I view my high school from a distance of time: “Besides the outstanding knowledge of English, our school also helped me be able to read more complicated texts with understanding. In the History, English, and Religion and Ethics lessons I learned how to sort information, make notes and study by reading, not by memorizing.”
