Educational Philosophy of CS Lewis Schools
A) Holistic view of life, wisdom and a witness to the Christian worldview in the community. We want to lay a foundation for our pupils and students to reach both a high educational standard and practical wisdom based on a Christian worldview of human beings made in the image of God, which touches all areas of life with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

B) Christianity, non-denominationalism and respect of differences. We want to create a Christian space that is open to all spiritual and church traditions that emphasizes a personal relationship with God. We are aware that only one gospel is expressed throughout Christianity and that it can be manifested in a wide range of denominations. We are also aware that Christianity must co-exist with and respect those who do not share a Christian worldview.

C) A global education: openness to cultural understanding and high quality language education. We aim to reflect the wide spectrum of cultures in Slovakia and lay a special emphasis on foreign language education. High staff qualifications and continual staff development provide an advantage in preparation for an ever increasing competitive environment.

D) Mutual respect and integration. We encourage acceptance of everyone with his or her own specific cultural background, family tradition and personal history; to form a culture of relationships based on mutual respect, cooperation and open communication. We also want to create equal opportunities for all children including those with the special needs.

E) Family support. We see our school as more then only an educational institution. It is also an environment which should support healthy attitudes towards one’s self, one’s peers and towards adults. This will prepare them to be responsible citizens and also for their future roles as husbands, fathers, wives and mothers. This will be achieved with the close cooperation of our pupils’ families. We aim to be a bridge between Christianity and the families and to support the institution of the family through activities that strengthen the relationships and values within the family.
